David's Bridal Dublin Ohio

I had an appointment at Davids Bridal in Dublin, Ohio on Saturday the 20th at 2pm. I arrived 15min early and filled out the paperwork, and made sure that they knew that my maid of honor was looking for gowns as well, they knew that and said that it would be a few more minutes if we wanted to start to look. I had 2 other people with me and we all started looking around and after I had found 5 dresses I liked I went back to the front to see where my consultant was because no one had said anything to us yet. I found out that my "consultant" had 3 other appointments at the same time and that she was too busy helping them to even bother looking down the isle next to her for me. Finally I was able to go back to start trying dresses on, we went to 5 different fitting rooms before finding one that was open and we had to wait for it to be cleared out before we could get into it. My "consultant" put the dresses in the room and gave me a bridal bra and told me to call for her when I was ready, I asked my sister to find her when I was ready and she was no where to be found. My sister came in and helped me with the bridal bra and then when the "consultant" came back my sister said I was ready for her.

Meanwhile my maid of honor, who had an appointment as well, went to look for a dress for herself and when she came back she was told that we were using the same dressing room and she would have to wait till I was out and we would switch back and forth. So while I got a dress on she waited outside the door, with no chairs to sit on, and they offered my sister a folding chair from the back room because they had no where for them to sit. When I got a dress on my Maid of Honor wasn't even able to see it because she had to go into the dressing room I just came out of to try on the bridesmaid dresses.

After getting the first dress on and came out to show everyone I was quickly rushed back in to put another one on and when I came out the "consultant" was gone. My friend had to help me out of that dress and into 2 other ones and finally I said forget it and got dressed and left. I was so disappointed in the "customer service" that I received, or didn't, while I was there. This was supposed to be a special thing for me as the bride to try on dresses and get that amazing feeling of being a bride, and being able to feel special while shopping for the most important dress of my life. We saw the "consultant", which was more of a sales lady than anything, for a total of 5 minutes in the half hour I was there. this was supposed to be a 2 hour appointment (I only stayed for 30min)  where I would be able to try on a few gowns, get some ideas and ultimately buy my wedding dress, but it wasn't even possible for me to do that when I didn't have anyone there to help me. I will not be buying me dress from David's Bridal and I will not reccomend anyone else to go there either.

</div><div>I completely agree, I went there to get my bridesmaid dress for my friend's wedding with the bride and two other bridemaid's and the "consultant" was there helping another girl get bridal dresses while we looked around.</div><div>
</div><div>It was difficult to find her and we ended up waiting around a lot regardless of the "appointment". </div><div>
</div><div>We found a bridesmaid dress we liked, but there was only one there but the zipper was messed up. She called the warehouse and said that they only had 2 other dresses that were in our sizes and that they had to be ordered. That wasn't a problem until she was so pushy with trying to get us to buy the defected one that we just left without buying any from her and just bought them online instead! <img src="http://cdn.cl9.vanillaforums.com/downloaded/ver1.0/content/scripts/tinymce/plugins/emotions/images/smiley-cool.gif" border="0" alt="Cool" title="Cool" /></div><div>
    </div><div>So no commission for her! <img src="http://cdn.cl9.vanillaforums.com/downloaded/ver1.0/content/scripts/tinymce/plugins/emotions/images/smiley-surprised.gif" border="0" alt="Surprised" title="Surprised" />

Although to add onto that, I went to the Easton David's Bridal to just look around and the consultants seemed friendlier and less pushy than at the Dublin one.

Try Trumpington Bridal in Westerville.  It was totally the opposite experience for us.  We had to people working with us and helping us.  We didn't have to go anywhere else.

Did you go on the weekend?

I never went to davids bridal but going on the weekend it is bad b/c there are so many they are better during the weekday.

I have been to Davids Bridal in Dublin on several occasions and had really good service. I'm sad to hear that you had such a bad time with them. When I tried on dresses, it was on a weekday in the middle of the day so they weren't as busy. My bridesmaids tried on dresses on the weekend and, they were busy, but we still had a good experience. So sorry this happened to you :(

I hate DB for this exact reason.  The majority of the sales people are only there to make a few bucks instead of wanting to help you find *THE* dress.

I was in a friend's wedding and we got our BM dresses there.  She didn't make an appt on purpose with the plan of shopping ourselves and getting out ASAP.  We did everything on our own, as we wanted it to be, snuck into a dressing room to try things on, and as we were exiting the room a consultant ran into us and insisted she walked us to the register.  She said "These ladies are ready to check out. I'm so glad I could help them!" and walked away.  I told them to not give commision to her because she didn't actually help us.  Not sure what was done about her commision, but it rubbed me the wrong way that someone would go so far to lie just to get a few dollars!

Shop local!  Joan's Bridal Couture in Reynoldsburg is where I got my dress--Joan is AWESOME.

My daughter and I, along with two of her bridesmaids, went to Alfred Angelo in Dublin and the experience was wonderful. The consultant was waiting for us and was excellent in picking styles that appealed to my daughter.

It must be the company because I went to a Davids Bridal in North Carolina and it was the worst experience of my life. I will never set foot in that store again.

I really enjoyed my experience at David's in Dublin. I had my own consultant and had her undivided attention the whole time. I liked several dresses but am still looking for the one. I think it really depends on when you go and who you get since David's takes walk-ins.
