gazebo issues!!

We are getting married June 11, 2011 in Fairbanks. we are inviting about 180 guests so about 150 will show. We have booked the Wedgewood Resort which offers both an indoor area and outdoor area for our wedding ceremony.  The outdoor area is centered around a gazebo and I am not too thrilled with that.

We already paid the non-refundable deposit and are otherwise happy with the location.

any ideas for a ceremony without a gazebo??

My sister got married there a couple summers ago. I thought the ceremony was great in the gazebo. Pictures turned out beautiful. Something kind of unique. The chairs were centered around the front of the gazebo, have you seen it in the summer?

I have not seen the gazebo in the summer ... only in the pictures that they have there.

there are two gazebos actually, one small and one large.

I will have to wait until this summer to decide.

Can u ask them to move the gazebo?

I just looked at the website -- it's hard to tell from the photos, but could the arrangement be set up so that the gazebo is at the back instead of the front? And then you could use the gazebo as a staging area or for photos or something rather than having it as the focal point of the ceremony?
