Music for ceremony

Hello,

I was wondering if anyone knew of a guitarist/violinist or more of a contemporary group to play music for our ceremony.  Any recommendations?

We are using a flute/guitar duo, Serenata Duo. They are reasonably priced (and I was even looking at using students!!).

BTW: When I contacted Capital's music department, they told me they do not assist you in finding students, because they are students and not professionals. I was kind of surprised by the response, maybe you'll contact a person more willing to help.

There is a harp player who is very reasonably priced ($300) who is highly recommended. Her name is Miriam, I can dig up the email if you like. We really loved the sound of the harp but our ceremony location is outside and would not be easy to get a harp to.

We hired Flute Cocktail to play with a trio (flute, violin and cello) for our wedding and it was $420. I *think* the price for just 2 instruments is $350 but you would have to check on that. I contacted 4 other vendors and Flute Cocktail was the most reasonable by $200.

We used Serenata Duo for our August wedding.  They were wonderful!  So glad another bride has found them as well!

We are using 2 students from OSU music program. They are so affordable and they are writing up the music for our ceremony for us. they are going to play it for us this summer for approval and then come play at our ceremony. OSU can put your information on a list that is available for music students to contact you...that is how I got contacted.
