    Yes, cruise prices are great right now! Otherwise, my fiance and I love to drive to Chicago for an extended weekend. All the bigger cities around here would be fun though. Minneapolis - lots of lakes and tons of other stuff; Kansas City is great too. I'd highly recommend Chicago though. I think you could definitely do a few days for under $1000.

    Chicago would be a lot of fun!  Or what about the North Shore in MN?  It's beautiful up there and there are so many things to do.  You could stay at cabin or a nice resort.  Also, when looking at places check out vrbo.com, that is where we found where we are staying for our honeymoon.  It's vacation rentals and we got a great deal!  Sign up for travelzoo.com, they send deals daily and you can get great hotel deals or even full vacations at great prices.  Good luck!!

    What great choices!! We're doing a cruise, you could also do like a 3 city tour, St. Louis, KC, and some where else?!
