Merry Christmas Eve!!

Getting off work at noon today! Yay! Then it will be non-stop christmas for the next 72 hours. oiy.

Aren't I getting married in 12 days? hahaha

What about you ladies? Any big plans for Christmas?

Re: Merry Christmas Eve!!

  • This is my first Christmas NOT going home to be with my family. It's just FI and I! We're going to create all new traditions and focus on the fact that we get to go home in 2 weeks for our wedding which is 18 days away! Tonight we're going to church and looking at Christmas lights. The church is bringing in 20 tons of snow. That's a big deal to us since we're from wi/mn and live in SoCal. Tomorrow we're gunna for a family run with our dog, and watch Christmas movies and eat all day!
  • That's awesome! I can't wait until FI and I have our own place to create new traditions in. Had a bittersweet moment yesterday. We FINALLY got the tree up at my folks house and all three of my sisters realized this will be the last time we all will be putting ornaments on my parents tree. Dad was ecstatic. He can't wait to come to our houses to help decorate. Not totally sure why. hahaha
  • **Gabba-where is your church? I've lived here(so cal) all my life and never been to/seen a church that did that!

We're going to apply for FI's passport today. Looks like China may still happen for us. So rush order it is. But first it looks like I need to go to the eye doctor. My eye hurts really bad and my eyelid is starting to swell. Noooooo! I have 3 weeks until the wedding!

We had Christmas with FI's family yesterday. It was okay-family drama and all. I totally got the gift I've been wanting for years. A photo and photo negative scanner. It can even do those really old slides. So happy!

Tonight we'll have our Christmas Even tradition-ordering pizza for dinner. Tomorrow we'll go to my mom's house for lunch.

  • Wow 12 days, huh Heroes?  Mine is 25...and I thought that was CLOSE!  IT IS, but I can't imagine when it says 12..LOL!!!  YAY!!!!!!  : D

Gabba- thats AWESOME about the snow!!!!!!  LOVE THAT.  What kind of church do you go to?

Staar- feel better!  I too have some swelling going on.  Jaw (near ear) has been sore off and on for weeks now.  Had a root canal cause I thought it was my tooth and now thinking it could be TMD.  Not sure though.  Will see Dr. if it doesnt go away next week.
NO PAIN OR SWELLING FOR US!!

I'm leaving work in 45 mins.  Can't wait!  Going to bake.  FI got out early too!  : )
Going to church with his Mom tonight, then tomorrow the 3 of us will go to my aunts for dinner.  Tomorrow night- prob relax and watch Christmas stuff.
Friday- my brother and sis in law are coming in from Boston- looking forward to that!  Will prob go bowling or something.  : )  I miss seeing alot of my family for the holidays.  Everyone is all over and they kinda do their own thing now...sad...

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!!! JESUS IS THE REASON FOR THE SEASON!  : D

  • Staar WonderfulSavior I go to a nondenom church in Lakewood...but they don't have a Christmas eve service . So I'm going to one tonight that I've been to a few times and LOVE. It's in Brea. The Cause Community Church. Services are at 5, 7, and 11 tonight if you're interested! :D
  • Ps they're also doing free family photos, gifts for every child, live animal nativity, and of course hot chocolate, Apple cider and cookies. So excited !!
  • Gabba that sounds like so much fun!! I looked it up because I thought it would be nice to go for the snow and nativity but it is pretty far for us. Its at least 30 minutes away. Hope you have a great time tonight!

WonderfulSavior-Thanks for the well wishes! I've got a stye in my eye so antibiotics for me. I hope you feel better soon as well. I worked at a doctor's office for 8 years, if it doesn't go away, I would try to make an appointment this week. That way you have more time in case they send you to a specialist.

  • Staar- its about 30 min from us too... but so worth it!
  • My family and kids are a ways away, but they will be here for our New Year's Day wedding! My son says its the first time he's ever been more excited about New Years than Christmas! Both my kids are so happy for me, as are my siblings and their spouses. It makes it all so much more special. We'll have a late Christmas when everyone arrives next weekend. I spent Christmas Eve with my FI's family, they are all coming here for Christmas Day breakfast, then to his sister's for mid day dinner, then to the cousins and families, usually about 50 people, for dessert. I'm marrying into a large family and they're all very happy for us.
  • Ellie- you are so fortunate!!  WOW!  Super blessed.  : )  Good for you!!
I wish my FI and I had large families.  His is SUPER small and mine is a decent size but not big, but alot of them live out of the area, so I don't really see them.  : /  Either way- we had a nice Christmas!!  Hope you ladies all did as well.

  • Ps- Gabba- that church sounds like it ROCKS!!!!!  WOW HOW AWESOME?!
I used to be non-denom.  I am Catholic now (FI wants to be a permanent Deacon in the future, so..)  It still believes Jesus is Lord!  Thats the most important thing!!!!

  • WonderfulSavior- Yeah I guess that makes sense :) Definitely the most important thing! FI and I were both raised in non-denom churches and met at an assemblies of God school in MN. My dad is an ordained pastor and is officiating our wedding :) and my brother is a worship leader, and is singing at our wedding! so excited.
  • AWESOME!!  : )  So you must love my name on here then?  LOL  It's all Glory to HIM!!  ; )
