Small Reception Venues?

We've got a wedding coming up faster than we can believe - in June! - and we don't yet have a reception venue.

We're really looking for a small space in St. Paul for a quiet reception ( />35 people) to have dessert and champagne. Finding a venue that is not a restaurant is hard enough, let alone one that will permit champagne and cake from our baker of choice. We've run the gamut between hotels and even local parks, and so far, anyplace suitable is unfortunately unavailable.

Does anyone have any ideas for a good place to do this? \

So you've checked all the St. Paul City owned buildings? Are you looking for indoor?

not sure about bringing in your own vendors, but you could check the landmark center

I'd look into 5120 Onyx Bar in Bloomington if you haven't already.
