Invite sizing--regular postage?

What size should the invites be if I want to do "regular" postage?  5"x7"?I love the look of elongated invites, but it's just not in our budget!

    Check the post office website for info: http://postcalc.usps.gov/ I think it depends more on weight than size if you're doing a rectangular envelope.

    Yes - the factors to consider are weight (<1 oz), shape (rectangular is best), and thickness. Check out the website or go into the Post Office during non-peak hours and ask what qualifies for the standard stamp.
