Caterers at $20/plate?

Hi all,

Does anyone know of any reputable, good quality caterers that are $20/plate? My fiance wants the price range around there (so far we've looked and it's been in the $40 range) and I'm not sure if there are any in that price range that don't do a crap job.

Suggestions/help!!!

  • My caterer is under $20/person actually. Going with Divine Swine Catering, for the options we picked it came out to only $16-17 a person.

  • Does your venue have any restrictions? We had 3 to pick from and of the 2 we met with (Lancer and Green Mill) we went with Lancer at 21.95/ea. FI and I have been to a Green Mill wedding before where the dinner, bartenders and late night pizza came from and it was good.

  • We used Classic Catering and it came in at about $20 a person.  There was a ton of food and variety.  We added an extra entree so there were three choices, two salads, bread, two vegetables, punch, and coffee. Plus that included linens and cake cutting.

Wells Catering is also very well priced I think.  And you may also want to look into restaurants (Green Mill, Buca di Beppo, etc)
