FYI: My strange position

I have been reading what's going on on the boards lately and rarely comment because I have the strange position of being a bride AND owning a wedding related business.  I don't hide what I do, but I also don't want you-all to think I'm trying to promote one vendor versus another when I give an opinion. (Does that make sense??)  I just wanted to let you-all know and no I won't post what my business is or what I do unless I am specifically asked nor will I post when people ask about vendors that are related to my line of work. 

I just wanted to let everyone know in case you-all see me out and recognize me... if that makes some of you-all too uncomfy, definitely let me know and I will keep my posts to a minimum. 

So here's what I have done
I have chosen a theme (chandeliers and feathers) and am going for a Hollywood Regency feel with modern sensibilities
Chosen a wedding date
December 30, 2010
 
a venue:
St. Francisville The lodge at the bluff's chapel (the reason that i chose this one is because I am having a quaint wedding, about 60 guests and my entire family is in TN/Chicago so I wanted some place where they could come, park, and enjoy).

a dress:
BRAVOBRIDE!!! i actually got my casablanca 1831 from another bride for $300 (S-C-O-R-E!!!)

It sounds like a gorgeous wedding. The dress looks fantastic on you. I love the neckline and the buttons!

I didnt realize the women were so cut throat on this site...seems all pretty harsh for just simple internet posts. Seems like you could just use your judgments, and not attack other posters...engaged couple, vendors, etc. If vendors want to take the time to create fake profiles and plug themselves...seems its their business.

Just my two cents. Please do not attack me.

@jeana: thanks girlie!! i LOVE the dress and was soo happy getting it at a great price (i'm on a budget)... but i definitely went dress shopping here and had a great experience with everyone here as well. i totally lucked up with bravobride and suggest it to everyone lol!!!

@kdoman: i am just really sad about everything that has gone on lately but that's about all i will say.  there will be no vendor promo from me. i hope if folks recognize me when i'm out they'll stop and chat though ... i love my job and i love helping people.

OMG kdoman! Seriously some people on here are so hateful...this is the only board I really like bc LA girls rock lol! Congrats crebre! Your theme sounds so great I wanted something similar and get married New Year's Day but FI said no way he wanted our own non-holiday time slot lol so we're over in August somewhere now
