Who are your vendors?

These are my vendors......I'm just always curious whom everyone is using, and plus it may help if yall would list some vendors that I may have forgotten to get in touch with and vice versa.

CEREMONY--CHRIST THE KING CHURCH
RECEPTION--LOD COOK

These companies came highly recommended to me, and they've done weddings I've attended, and all came out beautiful that I can tell.
CAKE--CAKE GODDESS
LIGHTING/RENTALS--PARTY CENTRAL OF LAFAYETTE
FLORIST--FLORAL ADDICTION
CATERING--LOD COOK CTR

CHOCOLATE FOUNTAIN--?
VIDEOGRAPHER--?
COORDINATOR--?
BAND OR DJ--?

ANY SUGGESTIONS ON THE QUESTION MARKS?

    Cake: Gambino's

    Photographer: Debbie Williams Photography
    Florist: Billy Heroman's

Hair & Makeup: Bridal Beauty Consulting
    Dress: Alfred Angelo

I also got a lot of things from Etsy- all my invitations and other paper goods, hair flower, BM gifts, garter, and so on.

Well, I'm still in the very early planning stages but so far...

Venue (Ceremony & Reception): Lake House Reception Center  (lakehousereceptioncenter.net)

    Photographer: www.glimpsesbyjodi.com

    DJ: comes with Reception Venue

    Catering: comes with Reception Venue

    Chair Rental
    : comes with Venue

Not Booked Yet But Possibilities I'm Keeping In Mind:

    Florals
: I can use my venue's florist or I can go elsewhere. I plan to look at Heromens, Jakes on the Avenue, Floral Addiction, Fleur De Jour, and anywhere else someone can recommend.

Cakes: I can use my venue's bakery or I can go elsewhere. I've heard of Ambrosia, Gambinos, Baums, Holly Braxton (or something similar)

Tuxes: Squires, Men's Warehoures, Al's Formal Wear

Dress: Bridal Boutique, Ashley Renee' Bridal, Bustle, etc.

BM Dresses: Alfred Angelo, Davids Bridal

Hair & Makeup: I'm totally not sure about this yet. I have a sunday afternoon wedding so I'd have to get someone to come to me. I've seen Amieezing Faces (a friends wedding and she like it but it was pricey), Bridal Beauty Consulting

Videography: I haven't seen anything that impressed me.

That's all I can think of for now.

My wedding is in two months!

Venue (Ceremony & Reception): Lake House Reception Center  (lakehousereceptioncenter.net) (ME TOO!!)

    Photographer: Phillip Colwart (http://www.phillipcolwart.com/)

Videographer: Jay Naquin at Unity Productions (http://lifetimemomentsondvd.com/). Good price, nice guy. Recommended by the photographer.

Band: Steamboat Willie (http://www.steamboatwillie.tv/). We're going for a New Orleans theme

    Catering: comes with Reception Venue

    Chair Rental: comes with Venue

Flowers: Special Touch Florist (Carolyn from Hammond). She's a friend of the family.
--Note to SE+MB: I had Lauren from Lake House quote my flowers and the total came up to $2600. It was waaay out of budget, and this is only for the usual, bouquet + 10 centerpieces, 3 bridesmaids and 3 groomsmen, and a few extra arrangements here or there. Nothing complicated. I went with Carolyn because she was recommended by the groom's mom. HER quote for the same thing, apples to apples, was $1700, but we talked it over and took off some of the extras, while my future mother-in-law provided some plants (Charbi's Garden Shoppe, Hammond). The new total is less than $800. When the Lake House called about finalizing the contract and we told them we'd gone somewhere else with a lower quote, they said they could've negotiated if we'd asked. So, Lake House brides, don't forget to ASK! ha. Now I know, but when I got the $2600 tag, I just said No way and found someone else.

Cake: I'll use the venue's bakers. The price is reasonable, $1.75 per person, and I've heard their cakes are delicious.

    Tuxes: Men's Warehouse

Dress: David's Bridal. They have a neat designer collection!

    BM Dresses: David's Bridal

Hair & Makeup: Don't have one yet but I'm probably going to use a friend of the family.

    Invitations: ... it's complicated.

    Good luck!

I heard Couture cakes by holly is pretty great....my cake vendors were going to be btn cake goddess and her.......So both would be good choices in my opinion.

Everything else I am willing to be more relaxed on.  Floral Addiction has always done great work, and she's had lots of experience out of state, and weddings in general, and not flower shop stuff.  So I am willing to pay a bit more for her services cause of her experience, and I've heard lots of nightmare incidents about flower shops on wedding week.

Congrats Johita, it'll be here fast, have a wonderful wedding day.
