Louisiana-Baton Rouge

Baton Rouge Hotels! (reviews/recommendations)

Need to book a block for your OOT guests? Want a nice place to stay on your wedding night before heading for your honeymoon? Here are a few ideas!

I hope others will also post suggestions for hotels they have toured or stayed in. I have not toured any expensive places because that's not what I'm looking for. I'm sure some ladies would love to know about the top-of-the-line places as well!

NICE, REASONABLY-PRICED PLACES:

Holiday Inn Express Suites
http://www.ichotelsgroup.com/h/d/ex/1/en/hotel/btrla?stopredirect=true
Siegen Lane

Several different floor plans for all your needs. Brand new, very clean, friendly staff, free hot breakfast. Microwave & fridge in every room. The whirlpool suite is very nice!

Hampton Inn & Suites

Reiger Road near Siegen

Beautiful lobby! Clean, new rooms with Hilton-quality bed linens. Free breakfast. Microwave & fridge in SOME rooms. GORGEOUS whirlpool suite--- wedding-night material!

Hyatt Place

Bluebonnet Boulevard

Retro-feel but very nice. Guest Kitchen and Grab 'n' Go case in the lobby (24 hour food, but not free). Starbucks coffee. Rooms are nice, huge TVs. A little cramped. Convenient location across the street from the Mall of LA. A bit pricier than other options.

STAY AWAY FROM:

Calloway Inn

Sherwood Forest Boulevard

Seriously ghetto. The guy at Holiday Inn said that is the ONLY place he knows of where guests have left (without a refund) to stay at another hotel because it was so bad. Cracks in the windows, a night club attached to one side of the hotel, just not a nice place to stay. Don't bother, you can get nicer honeymoon-type suites someplace else.

I'M GOING TO CHECK OUT:

The Radisson
http://www.upscalestay.com/
S Acadian Thruway

I've checked out the website and they have stunning whirlpool suites and sleep number beds. We're going to go check it out and ask about the rates. The website includes a "romance package" rate for $400/night, but we don't really need their champagne and strawberries. I'll update when I know more!

Most hotels will give you a quick tour of different types of rooms if you go when they are not busy. Just ask!
