I recently got engaged and my fiance, mom, and I are actually going look at Ormond Plantation this coming Sunday to see if we'd like to go with them for our ceremony & reception.
In case that doesn't work out, I was wondering if anyone had any ideas of good outdoor venues around the Houma/Thibodaux area. I really want something more rustic. Unfortunately Destrehan Plantation is booked up for all of next year (I fell in LOVE with their Mule Barn) and the few other places I've looked at are over 1 1/2 hr away or the cost is just way too much for our budget. Most venues located in our immediate area are just not what I was looking for.
Anyone have any ideas or know of any hidden away places nearby?
