Where did you take your bridal portraits?

I am planning on taking my bridal portraits at the end of February or first week of March and looking for ideas/ suggestions. Locations can be anywhere in New Orleans and the surrounding areas including the Northshore.  Thanks!!

I was looking for something different, my friend works at the Loew's hotel and she recommended Piazza D'Italia (off Poydras behind hotel).  www.photobylouis.com, online ordering, Julie Martin, password love if you want to check out pics.

Julie, thanks for sharing.  I was thinking about the Piazza.  They came out great!

I did mine at Audubon Park with Matthew Foster and they really came out beautifully.  There are a few different locations we used - some over by the pavillion by the lake, a few across the street over by the zoo.

I would love to know more about Longue Vue Gardens and Audobon Park. Do any of you have pricing info or pictures?

    Thanks!

It's free to take pictures at Audubon Park (it's a park!).  My bridals aren't up on Matt's website anymore, but we did take some pictures on the day of the wedding in the park as well - mostly the parent pictures and some with the whole bridal party.  They were taken at the front of the park, over by St. Charles.  We're also both Tulane alums, so we took a bunch of pictures over in front of the Tulane sign.  If you want to see what we had in the park, it's on matthewfosterphotography.com>recent events> weddings> Liz and Will.  The password is Goforth

Thanks so much, Lizzy! Your pics are beautiful. I asked about price because City Park in New Orleans charges $50 for a photography permit, but it's awesome that Audubon doesn't! Where did you manage to change into your dress?

    Jeana,
Where did you get the info about the $50 photography permit in City Park?  Is that only in certain areas?  Just asking because we took our engagement photos there in October and I did not have a photo permit---photographer did not mention anything about one either and it definitely wasn't his first time there. If one is required, I would say it is probably not enforced.

    Well, I emailed City Park to ask. <img src="http://cdn.cl9.vanillaforums.com/downloaded/ver1.0/content/scripts/tinymce/plugins/emotions/images/smiley-cool.gif" border="0" alt="Cool" title="Cool" />

Maybe they don't enforce it very well. It's a big park. And you weren't in a big poofy white wedding dress to make it obvious. lol

I was looking for something different and modern. I went to the Shaw Center for the Arts in Downtown Baton Rouge. We went all over the place - with fountains, artwork. It was beautiful!

If you are willing to make the drive and want something a bit different, I recommend it.
