Two questions. Please help.

1- Do you invite Grandparents to the rehersal dinner? 2- Do Grandparents walk down the aisle?

I have 2 grandparents who are attending, they will be in their seats before the processional, not walking down the aisle. I am inviting them to the rehearsal dinner.

    1. We did invite them... but you might want to check with whomever is paying for it as to how many people they are comfortable hosting.2. We did not have grandparents walk down the aisle with music playing but they were escorted down last before the grooms parents and then wedding started.

    1) Yes.2) Maybe. My grandparents didn't walk down the aisle because they are elderly and don't get around too well and it would have been a hassle for them to wait around for the processional. We reserved them seats in the front row with my parents though.

Between FI and myself, there are only two grandmothers (mine).  One is local and the other is coming in from FL.  They're both invited to the rehearsal dinner (mainly because both of our families are small and we don't have a ton of people coming in from out of town).  They are also both walking down the aisle in the processional - one is being escorted by my BIL and the other by my two cousins (also her grandsons).

Yes, and Yes. We only have 1 grandmother btw the both of us though. We had her escorted down right before the mothers (to the same music).

It's totally up to you honestly. Normally, 1- yes. 2-seated before hand, but escorted.

Okay new question..... One grandmother is widowed, so she would be escorted right? So I need to have an escort that is not a groomsman? The other set of grandparents would just walk together down the aisle? Right? Thanks for the quick responces!Sorry I am so clueless!

My grandmother was widowed, so yes, I had her escorted. I actually used one of the groomsman bc there was an extra one available to do so.  Otherwise I would say you could just have a close male relative from her side escort her.

just to clarify...the groomsman did not walk down with the BM's, that's why he was available to escort G-Ma.

You really can do the processional any way you like! You could have a GM escort the grandmother down the aisle (assuming that the GMs are not ecorting the BMs). Or if you had someone else you want to include who is not a GM (a cousin, etc) then he could be the escort. And yes, it is fine to have the gma & gpa walk down together.

In answer to your questions... 1. Yes (but we are also really close with our grandparents) 2. Escorted but not during the actual processional.... we're having 5 little "ushers" -- my brothers (who are 10 years younger than me), and my 3 little cousins. Both of my grandmothers plus 2 great grandmothers and a great great aunt are alive, and FI has one grandmother and a great aunt. 3 of them are widowed, and my great great aunt was never married. So yeah we have a lot of them and want them to be honored (I would argue we're pretty close with all of them) by being escorted down the aisle.
