Local Seamstress

I am looking for a skilled seamstress to create the dresses for my bridesmaids. The dresses will be silk charmeuse with a top layer of silk chiffon, which I hear can be a bit tricky. How do I find a seamstress in the area (DC/Baltimore area) who I know will do a good job and wont over charge? I have looked online, but haven't had any luck.

I HIGHLY recommend Sheryl Kelm.  She comes highly recommend on this board and also made my friend's BM dresses off of a J.Crew pattern (they were gorgeous).

I tried to book Sheryl but even 9 months out she was booked! I booked Diana Adams who is another frequently reccomended seamstress.

I used Sheryl for my gown alterations and she also made my bridesmaid and flower girls dress!! They turned out amazing!! The style i had was almost like what you are wanting. It was satin with a chiffon overlay!  I definitely recommend her!
