Back in Dec. I won a free bridal pampering party from one of the local mary kay representives in my area. The representive(Kim) is a specialist in bridal make-up and I wanted her to do my make-up for the day of the wedding. Her prices are $50 for a bride, $25 for each additonal face, and $100 min. Which is all good. I sent her an email a couple months back asking her to do the make-up for the day of my wedding, but I didn't have anybody else set up yet for her to do. Just me. She sent me an email back saying she had another wedding that morning in the same city as mine so she would squeeze me in for the price of my face only $50. Well I just looked back at those emails a couple days ago and she had scheduled me for 8/17/12, not 8/17/13. I quickly sent her an email back asking if that was just a typo or if she had the date wrong. She replied today that she had the date wrong, and now she needs the full $100 minimum! I just don't think that's right. I looked back, and I sent her the correct date. So the mistake was on her. I just thought she should honor the price she already told me. It would be the right thing to do in my mind. I understand it's a business and stuff, but still. I don't think I'm going to go with her now because my sister in law can do the same thing for free. So now she has lost out on $100, because she wouldn't take $50. I don't know, I just needed to vent.
