Lexington Caterers

Can anyone recommend affordable caterers for a reception in the Lexington area? I'm a vegetarian, so food is kind of important to me (local & organic would be awesome). Most of the guests aren't though, and something that reflected Kentucky would definitely be appropriate. I've been looking at Dupree's, Type A, or Darae & Friends. Any experience with these or good experiences with others? Thanks!

Do you have a restaurant you love?  I'd ask them about catering.

I've been to a couple of weddings that Dupree's did, and they were nice.  Not "oh my god best ever", but nothing to complain about at all.

I'll ditto squirrly's comments on Duprees. I'd also check out Season's Catering.

Alfalfa's does catering, but I don't know if they do full service.

Season's = Yummy.  And totally over budget for me.  They wanted $13k for food, service, linens/china, and the location (Landsdowne Club).  For 120 people.  Holy. Cow.

I tend to think italian is easy to do for both veg and meat eaters in a really nice, classy way, so that's what I'd lean toward, personally.  But, I love italian food - so I might be biased.  :)

Nova Gourmets is a new caterer in Lexington (around 2 years old I think)  They specialize in vegetarian foods, and they customize all of their menus, so you get exactly what you want!
