Bride's Speech

I know it's a little unconventional but I am planning on speaking at our wedding but I am having trouble putting a speech together. Does anyone have any ideas or fun jokes to break the ice?

I know it's cliche, but be yourself.  When I wrote my maid-of-honor speech a number of years ago, I stressed out, and then I just told the story of my friend's relationship with her husband up until that point.  Do you know what kind of speech you want to give?  Is it something along the lines of expanding your vows?  Do you just want to thank everyone for coming, and acknowledge those people who helped out along the way?
