In reference to "Would I be Spending to much..."

My reception is at Petruzello's in Troy. Guest list is 255 so in the end prolly around 200 people

I called Lakes Cakes and got pricing and here is the low down...

Serving 150 ppl from the main cake of 4 tiers or 3

$3.50 per person premium filled (mouse or fruit)       $525
                                                                                 +$  60 - sheet cake for others
                                                                                   $585
                                                                                   $  60 -  delivery to reception
                                                                                   $645

FYI There cakes have four layers of cake and 3 layers of filling for each tier.

My fiance loves cheesecake. So...If I wanted cheesecake that would be $4.50 per person. One of the tiers could be substituted for the cheesecake and the price would be higher given the amount of people the chosen tier served. I aske about cheesecake filling if they could do that and they said it was possibly but they have never done it before.

As far as decoration I saw a cake in the window and I took a picture and I have to replicate it. My wedding is October 22nd. So adding the artificial leaves and the colored ribbon to replicate the cake would be added at no extra charge given that I provide the supplies.

If you have any other cake place recomendations that would be great as well. Maybe some are closer and resonably priced so the delivery charge won't be high.

    It's not necessarily closer, but we went through Sweet and Savory Bake Shop (www.sweetandsavoryonline.com).  AMAZING cakes and she did a gorgeous job.  I am counting down till next August when we get our 1 year anniversary cake from them!

    Im using callies homestyle cakes. No delivery fee, and shes super nice. I would just ask around. I dont know if you can find it cheaper since your cake sounds amazing but its worth a shot.

    I would not go with anyone that hasn't done the cheescake filling before. you need to taste it beforehand.
    There's a few bakeries I would recommend in the area;
    There's Chocolate Bar Cafe on mack in Grosse Pointe Woods, her name is Lisa. For Goodness Cakes! in Macomb Twp, Frosting Flingers in Macomb Twp and Cande's Cakes and Cookies also in Macomb.
    Best of luck!

    Sweet and Savory is absolutely to die for wonderful. The only reason I didn't recommend them is the distance and thereby delivery cost. But for outstanding Cake, they are truly the best and the very sweetest people. I have know both Debbie and Scott for about 5 years, before they bought Sweet and Savory.
    and, they do do a truly fantastic cheescake too!
