Live Band - Lansing Area

Hello,

I am part of the Lansing board but it's quite slow compared to the Detroit one. I am getting married near the Lansing area and am looking for a band. My wedding is in June so I realize I am a bit crunched for time. Would any of you ladies know of great bands that will travel or are in the Lansing area? I am also on a budget so a $3k price range is not possible. The few I've contacted are quite expensive unfortunately.

Have you tried maybe contacting some college music departments? 
Where I went to school the music department had a few bands independent of the school that would play gigs to get some extra money.  The department knew and encouraged them as I think they got internship credit or something.

They played at our wedding and everyone raved about the music.  People danced all night.  They were great to work with too.  One of the muscians, Dan Mazur, also supplied ceremony music. http://www.danmazur.net/ It was beautiful  Check them out, I bet they travel to Lansing.
