Looking for a reasonably priced photographer? Any rec's

I was wondering how much you paid for your Photographer cause as I call the prices are way to high for me. Would like to pay someone to just take pictures for 6 hrs and give me all the photos for no more than 1200. Is that possible or am I dreaming.

I recommend looking on craigslist. $1200 is definitely possible for 6 hours if you're not looking for anything too fancy....

We are using David Bibeault and he's higher than that. However, he has people working for him who may be less expensive. Could be worth a call. Also, have you tried Keith Berry? I don't remember his prices being bad.

We went with classic photographers - they offer SO many different packages, and I really liked a lot of their photographers work... I ended up spending about 2100, but you can get ones for much cheaper - I included 3 or 4 albums, and engagement session, etc... I also got a bunch off our tuxes as well for going with classic tuxedos... win win situation I thought! Havent gotten married yet, so dont know how our pictures exactly will turn out, but their sample albums are gorgeous and they seemed to get good reviews....

I booked my photographers: Portrait New England, for less than that even though their packages (as advertised on their website) start at 1500. I am really happy with the engagement pictures (which they through in as an extra since I paid up front) and they were really great to work with. They are a couple out of central Ma and they said they are flexible on pricing because it's hard competing with all the photographers out of Boston. Check them out at www.portraitnewengland.com
