Vendors in Rockland County?

Anyone have suggestions for vendors in Rockland? I'm pretty sure I have a florist and maybe DJ...but still looking and definitely need a photographer. Our reception venue provided a list as well, but looking for more suggestions!

I booked Robert Wayne Photography. He's in Sussex County, but will travel for free if it's under an hour (Rockland is). He does beautiful work for a great price. I'm not sure what your budget is. Some other photographers I looked into were Jose Reyes (he did my friends wedding) and Christopher Studio, who was recommended by our venue. FYI.. I'm going with Dykstra Florist in Spring Valley and Christine from Color Make-up Studio for my make-up.

I had a few Rockland vendors even though I married and live in Rockland.  Look into;
 1.  the DJ Company (Nyack) for dj and lighting. 
2.  I used Pearl River Florist but also look in Rockland Florist in Congers. 
3.  Color makeup studio in Pearl River for makeup.  Christine is wonderful and so talented.

Allan E. Levine Photography, Lagrangeville A+ (came down from the Poughkeepsie area, but were amazing!)
I knew I wanted to book them as soon as we met Allan and his wife Vicki at a bridal show at Anthony's Pier 9.  Upon booking them, we completed our engagement shoot in Cold Spring (beautiful!) where we were able to get to know and feel comfortable. They created a great guest book for the wedding out of these photos. The day of the wedding, they were there from beginning to end. The "getting ready" shots through the last dance. I can't wait to get the proofs!

I didn't necessarily know what I wanted for my flowers.  I visited several florists who did not impress me, but actually pushed me away by their lack of attention and personality. This was NOT the case here at Bassett. The wedding specialist I worked with ended up leaving the area, but I never once worried when Brooks took over. He took care of everything to a "T." The flowers were perfect, they even took a few extra steps when I asked for specific ribbons for the flowers. Great florist, I now use them for everything!

We used the DJ Company for our DJ services, day of coordinator and photo booth. All of which were amazing. I worked primarily with Ryan, who bent over backwards to ensure we had a great wedding. From ceremony to reception, Ryan worked with us for every song recomendation.  They have their own, "we do not play unless you specifically request it" list so even if you're guest request's and you forgot to put it on your do not play list, you won't end up with the Electric Slide or Cha Cha Slide.  Our DJ and MC, Kevin and Mike were on point the entire night creating the atmosphere we were looking for. And the photo booth was a big hit, the attendant did a great job in working with our guests to fill out the photo album. I can't wait to get the disc of all the pics from the night!  Oh, and the uplighting!  Set the stage for the evening, a gorgeous reception!

Hendrick Gil Makeup, Rockland County A+
Makeup is one thing worth the splurge. Hendrick's expertise here was in a big blinking neon sign. He was wonderful. He took care of myself as the bride, as well as all the bridesmaids, moms and jr bridesmaid. Watching the transformation was amazing with each face. The makeup didn't budge 2 days later!

Andrea did the hair for my entire bridal party. She began with a consult where she was able to add extensions to my order. When the extensions came in, they matched perfectly. Upon trying a few ideas she and I had, we finally settled on the right one! My hair does not typically hold when styled...not a problem! It barely moved all night! A wonderful job!!

Le Petite Gateau "the little cake" Park Ridge NJ  A+
the cake was included with our contract at the Pearl River Hilton.  We went to the bakery for our conuslt and tasting.  Everything was great!  We ended up choosing a different flavor for each layer because we couldn't decide! 

New York Sports Club, West Nyack A+++
If you are looking to shape up and lose a few for the wedding, this is the place to do it.  The classes are great, espeically the Spinning and Zumba.  I worked with two personal trainers there, Mario and Karissa.  They were both great.  Karissa used Cross Fit with me.  I loved it!
