Photography

I am on a small budget and am looking for photography suggestions. A co-worker suggested that there might be some local schools with students who need to build portfolios. Does anyone have any photography suggestions?

we are using CAM Photography for our wedding, shes a great gal who does great work. she did my friends wedding in addition to the 'professional' that they hired and her photos were way better! you can find her on facebook at http://www.facebook.com/Cam.Photography21

Someone posted on the CT board within the last week or two the name of a photographer who is just starting up their business and was doing free engagement shots to built up their portfolio. Perhaps they would do a wedding very inexpensively? I would check out the board

How inexpensive are you looking for? I know my photographers really worked with our budget to give us what we needed. Depending on what you mean by a small budget, there might be more options available than you think.

Thank you all for your responses and suggestions so far!

From what I've seen, photography packages begin at over $1000, which is more than I was expecting to spend. I hope I'm not being unrealistic but rather looking in the wrong places.Laughing

That's the site a bride mentioned on the CT board for free sessions. She seemed very pleased w/ how her engagement photos came out!

I posted an ad on New England School of Photography's website and had an overwhelming amount of responses... varying from professionals to students in all different price ranges. You could start there. It's free to post the ad and I had responses within the first hour of posting. Good Luck!

try also looking at photographers that customize their package to fit your budget. We are using Portrait New England and I'm on a tight budget and they worked with me. Also I am getting two photographers.

My photographer's name is Kimberly here is her wedsite http://kimberlykinne.com/ We are also working on a very small budget and she is so nice and is giving us a full day coverage and engagement pictures! I already had my engagement pics with her and they are great. Godd luck! and if you find any other good deals like DJs lets us "the budget brides of MA" know!
