Another Venue Help Request!

Hi All,

I think I have looked through all the postings on this blog, and at every venue on the web but I am still having a hard time finding something I can afford and love! I am hoping that will everyone's experience they can find something to fit my vision! I am looking for a "unique" venue. I don't want something really out there but examples of places I love (but can't afford) are The Crane Estate, French's Point, and The Cranwell Resort. I am looking to have 125 guests for an indoor reception and I am willing to spend a max of $15,000 on food, alcohol and venue (all taxes and fees included). I would like something that is elegant, not too resorty and has places to stay near by. Anywhere in ME, VT, NH and central to northern MA are ok. Please help a future bride out!! Thank you!

We looked at several places in VT before ultimately deciding on a Cape venue. All the venues were in that price ballpark. Try looking at The 1824 House in Warren, VT. They have a beautiful barn and wonderful on-site catering. Lareau Farm is a more rustic feel in Warren also. Home to American Flatbread which is an aweosme catering option. Good luck!

One of our friends got married at the Bradley Estate in Easton.  I'm not sure how much it was, but it was different.  We had our reception at the ATlantica in Cohasset which is a restaruant but right on Cohasset harbor and absolutely beautiful.

I would suggest looking in the South Shore (MA). There's a lot of beautiful venues that are cheaper than those you would find in Boston and North Shore.

You could also try some of the smaller inns or country clubs in the Berkshires.

    Berkshire Hills Country Club

    Red Lion Inn

    Mill on the Floss

<div>I would stay far away from the Cranwell...my cousin was married there and it was a disaster!  Have you looked out towards the Sturbridge area - even Spencer as well.  Zukas in Spencer seems to be popular if the tent thing is something you like...although I think their rental fee is quite high. Also, Old Sturbridge Village in Sturbridge is very nice and, in looking at their offerings, within your budget too.  GL!</div>

Jessalyn2013 Maybe I will start looking down there to see if there is anything closer to my budget!

@aas65 Thank you for the suggestions I will definitely check them out.

@**cantwait** I'm sorry to hear about your cousin's experience. Thanks for giving me the heads up! It is out of our budget so we will not be going there but I like the old stone estate feel. I'd really love a place that has beautiful grounds and nice estate house or mansion to have dinner in.

Try the Saphire Estate in Sharon. They worked in our 15k budget well, but off peak....

I recently went to a wedding at the Great House on Crane Estate. The ceremony was held outside in the sunken Italian Garden, the cocktail hour was on the back patio/ hall way, and the reception was in a tent off the side of the house. It was beautiful, the servers were wonderful, it was clean and had a nice atmosphere. However, I feel as though it was a very expensive wedding.

Thank you everyone for your suggestions! We decided to go with Tower Hill Botanic Garden as our wedding venue. It was everything we were looking for and I am so excited. It is a huge relief to finally have picked a wedding venue!
