Funk Bands - NYC

So my fiancee and I are big New Orleans funk and 70's soul fans.  We'd love a band to play The Meters, James Brown, Otis Redding, etc.  We also want to sit in for a song, so we'd like them to be flexible.

Any ideas/suggestions?

    Def. Soul Revival!!  That's exactly what they play and they are awesome.  We hired them for our wedding and can't wait.  They are recommended on here by other brides too and play awesome funk music.

    Give 747 ORCHESTRA a call.  They are the best Funk band out there for many years. They do Otis, George Clinton, Parliament, etc.. They did our wedding and they rocked the house!!  (516) 365-5664   We actually used Can't Turn You Loose for bridal party.
