FI and I are having a Catholic wedding which would include the infamous "Catholic gap" if we were to have it on a Saturday. The ceremony would be at 2:30 and our formal, evening reception will start at 6. Alternatively, we could have our wedding on a Friday WITHOUT a gap with the ceremony at 5, reception at 6. We know that either way, there will be people who don't like the situation, but which would you prefer? Oh, also, a majority of our guests will also be Catholic and are familiar with/expect the gap, if that affects anything. Thanks!
