This is my first time posting here, and also my first time as a bridesmaid. I have been married for four years, but my wedding was very small and non-traditional in many ways, so I am in need of advice.
I have already spent close to a thousand dollars on my friend's wedding, and I really can't afford it, but she is a good friend and was one of my bridesmaids when I was married. My question is this...how much would you typically give as a wedding gift for a large wedding if you were a bridesmaid? I'm expecting the event to cost at least $100 per head, and my husband is attending as well. Is it proper to give $200 to cover the amount spent, or would more/less be appropriate?
