Attention Keyboard Gangstas

I am amazed at how many bitches there are in these forums! Don't all of you have a wedding to plan for? If not then why the hell are you even on here? If so, then it would seem that you'd have more important things to do than sit around and attack/judge/ridicule complete strangers from behind your computer screen! I feel sorry for all of you who find this to be entertaining! And know that 99.9% of y'all wouldn't say half the $hit to someone's face that y'all are so bold enough to say in an Internet forum!

And on another note, Who the hell are any of you to say what is or is not right when it comes to someone else's wedding? Some women come on here just looking for some support from their fellow brides during what can potentially be an already stressful but exciting time in their life, but end up just being judged instead. You should be ashamed of yourselves!

Sincerely,
F all y'all!

PS, if you're offended by this post, then you're probably one of them!

  • Now I want to be a keyboard gangsta.
What did you think would happen if you walked up to a group of internet strangers and told them to get shoehorned by their lady doc?~StageManager14

When you have bad ideas, expect to be judged.  You don't get blanket support on a wedding etiquette forum when your ideas blatantly go against etiquette.   I don't have any problem saying that to someone on an online forum, or to their face.

Yes, watching someone have a mini online meltdown because they got called out on their craptastic idea is mildly entertaining during my workday.

Amboquet, you are on the wrong website.  The Knot is for brides who have questions about their weddings to get good advice on how to plan them.  If you want a board with rainbows and unicorns about any rude or inappropriate idea, go over to weddingbee.  They don't care about etiquette, and will tell you whatever you want if perfectly wonderful - whether it is, or not.
As for giving advice, there have been rules about weddings for hundreds of years.  Those rules don't change just because someone thinks she is "above etiquette".

Isn't that what I just said?  You are right. I DON'T have a problem saying anything to anyone.  To their face, or online.

    You are welcome in advance.

That was deleted faster than even I expected. And yes, I'm happy to admit that I occasionally do find etiquette debate entertaining. "Real Housewives" has the same effect.
  • And cursing strangers out over the Internet is proof of how supportive and kind and wonderful you are? You're one of those girls who slices the tires of her friend's ex-boyfriend's new girlfriend's car and calls it "sticking up for" her friend, aren't you? Abusing people you find to be abusive @ssholes doesn't make a hero, sweetie. It makes you a slightly different type of abusive @sshole.

    Hilarious.

I'll admit ... I've been guilty of jumping on the regs, partially because I think women in groups can easily form a pack mentality and become a little catty. That's not just here. That's everywhere.

In reading these last few threads, there are FAR too many people jumping on things, and jumping off topic on things. It certainly seems like it's some of the non-regs causing more drama here now, and doing it just for the sake of an argument.

  • Only think I have to add: I will never understand the "brides come on this board for support during this time" line.  It shows up in almost every "STFU meanies" post. If you need support from random strangers in order to plan your wedding, you're doing it wrong.
