Hello?

Anyone here?

I had a rough day at work so I went and picked up a bottle of wine, a single serve ice cream, and dark chocolate. I feel better now.

What are you ladies up to?

Re: Hello?

  • That does not sound like an easy read.

Both the kids were having off days. It was weird. Well, L had a reason because he went to the doctor in the morning and got some shots but N had no reason to have such a weird schedule today. They were both just cranky.
  • I had an annoying day. I made a dermatologist appointment, because I started getting cystic acne, and nothing was helping.  The secretary made the appointment for today. Except she didn't. When I showed up, I was told my appointment was on the 28th, not today. I had my calendar in front of me when I made the appointment, and am busy on the 28th, so I'm 99.9% sure it was their error, not mine.  Arg.

On the plus side, FI and I's new carpet is in, and it looks great! Now to focus on putting all our stuff back where it started.
  • Hi guys. Im putting away laundry and watching The Kardashians. I adore this family haha. Sorry you didn't have a great day, Glo.
  • Hey!  I just took a 2 1/2 hour nap and it was fabulous.  :)

TCOYF is not that hard of a read.  I found it interesting and pretty easy to understand.

Glo - wine, ice cream and chocolate - fabulous combination :).
  • Hey all. Sorry you had a rough day, Glo.

I'm just hanging around. I've got work at 5. I slept better last night, but I'm still tired and just wanna do nothing all day. It's also 105* here, so that's not helping my laziness.

  • I envy your evening plans Glo, sorry about the stressful day :(
  • Thanks yall. I'm sure I'll feel better after my first glass of wine. And after I shower. These kids spit up on me so much today. By the end, I was just laughing because it was so ridiculous.

Sara, if it's that hot out I'm not doing a damn thing unless I absolutely have to.
  • Hey!  I just got home from a busy day...gyno appointment (what fun!), errands with FI and now I'm sitting here watching Judge Judy on DVR.

DInner tonight is BBQ chicken leg quarters, corn on the cob and a salad.

That's pretty much it for me tonight.

<div>That's pretty much where I'm at haha. I haven't gone out all day except to water the garden and take care of my rabbits. Poor babies are roasting out there :(</div>

  • Edie - I just started doing it.  We were getting ready to TTC so I went off the pill a few months early and started charting and we used a back up all the time for a couple of cycles until I was comfortable with what I was doing with the charting.

[QUOTE]In Response to Re: Hello? : Thanks.  I'm sure if I read the chapters specifically about charting a couple times it'll make more sense to me.

<div>Exactly.  And as you do it, you start to recognize what you're seeing.  </div>
  • Lizzie, I like your evening plans too. I'm trying to decide if I really feel like cooking dinner or if I should just have leftovers. Decisions decisions.
  • I have leftover pizza or leftover pasta with meatballs.  I'm deciding which to warm up, but I'm still full from lunch.  We had a vendor take us out to lunch today which put me in a food coma so it will probably be a bit before I'm ready for dinner.  Bison nachos to start and a bison burger (bacon cheddar) and fries for lunch.
  • Hey. I'm rehydrating with some crystal light and then I'll be starting on the wine. We got our mare's wound cleaned up and treated. It looks gross, but I don't think it's as bad as I originally thought.

  • Hey all. I need to get tcoyf eventually... Probably will be going off BC when I graduate so it will be good to educate myself. Only 3 more days of full time work, wee!

I have no idea how she did it, but she has a nasty wound down by her hoof. We had to soak it in Epsom salts and put stuff on it. She's so good, though. She stood there like a champ while I was digging in the wound, and patiently stood still with the boot on with the Epsom salt solution.

  • Aw glad to hear that she did well while you treated the wound, Adamar. It definitely makes the job easier. For some reason, Willow has been totally calm and chill whenever we do something to her with dressing a wound or cutting her nails. Tory is impossible though. I have a feeling that might be due to trauma of hip surgery.

  • evening!

I started working on Christmas gifts today.  After a couple of hours I needed to take a break.  Hard to get motivated for Christmas gifts in August.  Otherwise, I did nothing.

  • She was not good for the wormer, however. We both ended up wearing half of it.

  • I have to start thinking about Christmas gifts.  I've bought my mom's gift already and I have some ideas for H but I want to get it done early (very early) so I need to figure out what I'm getting for people so I can start picking stuff up.

Hello, I only have about an hour left at work.  And I got my schedule for the upcoming school year and except for a single class on Fridays, I now get 3-day weekend!  Well, I will in 2 weeks.

Adamar, I'm sorry to hear about your mare.  At least she let you treat it.

Hockey, I was just looking at Christmas presents today too.  I got both the birthday and christmas present for one of my friends picked out and ordered already. She's getting a china tea cup and saucer and Doctor Who stitch markers.

ETA: I also got another friend a River Song journal.  Yeah, I'm a geek like that.

  • Glad your mare is doing well, adamar. How many horses do you have? I love horses, I rode for a few years when I was little and used to beg my parents to buy me one.
  • Aw geez guys. You are all overachievers, getting Xmas gifts already? Crazy motivated people.

I handpaint wooden "time out" chairs.  This is what they look like before I start.  I have made one for my niece when she was born that was painted with a Where the Wild Things Are theme...and one of my nephews got one that looked like a Boston Bruins jersey.  The nephew I am working on now will get a construction/truck theme chair.
