Ok, you are obviously illiterate or something... I didn't say "people who post on message boards should get lives".
I said that regulars on a message board - in other words people who post on the same board a billion times all day, every day, for years, and know everybody on the board, need to look at their priorities.

  • Somehow, despite all of our harshness, we get new regular posters all the time.  Someone appreciates the advice they receive here.

Why do you stick around?  You don't care about etiquette, you are rude to people planning weddings with lower budgets, and you hate the regular posters.  I don't get the appeal of the Etiquette board for you, Cindy.

Ooooh one newbie. Maybe you should look at some other boards who get tons of newbies every day that actively participate and aren't AFRAID to ask something.

I really am having fun poking Cindy, but I am a little ticked too.

Let me tell you a story. A little over 3 weeks after my wedding, my aunt, who was like a second mother to me, unexpectedly passed away. The math department at the high school she worked at for 40-something years didn't even send flowers, but you know who did? The lovely girls on this message board. So yes, I'm happy with the priorities that I've made because it means I've made true friends that support me when shiit gets real, even if they've never "met" me before.

So you can suck on that.

I agree.  I've had my hand slapped a few times, but after my ego recovered, I come back time and time again.

Just because I may not have liked the advice at first doesn't mean it wasn't the RIGHT advise.

Nothing like taking things literally. You know exactly what I meant. Or maybe you don't, because it is incomprehensible? You have put words into my mouth two times now, and have nothing to prove what you are accusing me of.

Birdie is my friend. I have known her for years. I'm sorry that you're an insensitive priick, who doesn't understand what it's like to care about someone.

Do you not send flowers to your friends?
