Thanks for you advice on wedding packages, ladies!
Right now FI and I are narrowing down the guest list and establishing our budget, then I'm assuming it will time to start looking for venues.  We'd love to have the ceremony and reception at one location with the ceremony outside.  Any suggestions on places we should look at in the Raleigh/Wake County area?  I envision it being at an old plantation house or barn.

It's not really an old plantation house, but it is an old house on a christmas tree farm.

The Rand-Bryan House. It's where I got married and a few other ladies have also gotten married there since. It's in Garner NC and they can do both ceremony and receptions (that's what I did) and have the ability to do indoor or outdoor.

We are getting married at Snipes Farm in Chapel Hill. It is very rustic and just incredible! Looked on the website and thought it was a bit iffy because there werent really any good pictures of it so we drove out there yesterday and I LOVE IT! Its an old dairy farm.. you get married in front of a beautiful oak tree and there is a barn for the reception!

Check out The Hudson Manor located in Louisburg NC.  It's an old manor house with various outdoor locations for your ceremony and an adjacent ballroom for your reception.  I'm getting married there on November 5, 2011
