Crescendo pools or Skyline Chapel...?

I need help!  We have [hopefully!!] narrowed our choices down to 2..  The Crescendo Pools at The Flamingo, or the Skyline Chapel at Imperial Palace...

I know IP isn't necessarily the "prettiest" hotel/casino, but we would probably book our rooms at the Flamingo either way..  IP is definitely more affordable!!

So what does everyone think?  I don't see many IP brides, even on the LV Knotties List..stephvball inspired me to research IP and I'm so glad I did!!

Both look really cool actually.  Who would have thought that nice chapel was hidden in the IP, haha.

What time of day are you thinking?  Just wondering how warm it will be.  Will the pool be open by then and do they block it off for your wedding, consider the possible noise from the pool area.  Are you leaning more towards outdoors or indoors, that could help you decide too.

This is the pic I found of the Skyline are the lights always blue and can they be changed just in case your weddign colors aren't blue.

I'd go with the pool area if it's warm enough but I like outdoor weddings.  Either way both are very nice and the pictures from either one will look great. Sorry I'm not really helping you pick one or the other.

We haven't picked a time yet, I figure both places probably have specific times that we'd have to choose from.. Not sure if the pool would be open yet, I guess it depends on which day in March we actually choose.  I love outdoor weddings, but I also like the inexpensive budget friendly wedding :)  I believe the lights can be changed to any color, which is awesome since we're going pink and black!  Thanks for your help :)  Definitely gave me some things to think about!!

I was super jealous when I saw her pics of IP!!  Who knew, indeed!!

I think the Crescendo Pools are nice, especially if you plan to have your reception there (and people are already staying there).  Super convenient.  Have you already planned your reception?

I LOVED Silver Sky! It was definately a little hidden gem. We were the 4th couple to get married there as it is a very recent renovation. I have heard mixed things about the pools. Some brides have complained about the "pool" smell, as well as noise coming from the pool area. I think it depends on what time the ceremony is as well as the time of year with regards to the noise.

 The lights at IP can be changed. Kris (the wedding coordinator) is fabulous. I cannot say enough good things about IP!!

No clue what we'll be doing for our reception yet, I'm hoping to figure out about how many guests we'll have, then decide if we should just do a nice dinner, or a full blown reception.  Gosh, the pools are really pretty...but I am in utter shock over the chapel at Imperial Palace.  I think it's totally awesome, kinda like a diamond in the rough :)  IP gets knocked all the time for being "old and dingy", I think it's a cool place!

I can't deny it, I really think this is going to be my choice!! I'm considering the Flamingo, but I'm pretty sure I've already made up my mind!  And I have to thank you for that :)  How awesome to be the 4th couple!  That's something you'll probably never forget!  I have only gotten the automatic responses back so far, one when I requested info about the Flamingo which included Skyline, from Taylor, and then I requested direct info from IP but it was the same brochure, from Kristen.  It says they are both Chapel Managers for both locations.  Is Kris also a manager?

I would say inquire about where they think they will be with the renovations at that point and how that might affect things for the IP.  It looks like you're getting married in 2013?  I haven't seen the latest timeline on their renovations but it will hinder getting back out onto the strip.  It will also make it a little harder to get into the parking lot as well so you should just look into that just to make sure it won't be a huge hassle to get there and back eventhough they're basically next door to each other.

Oh God!  I didn't even think about all of the construction!! We were planning on March 2013.  I just found an old article from August 2011 that says the height of their construction work will be mid 2012 so I'm hoping by next year it may be settled down.  Thank you so much for reminding me!! I'll make sure to ask!

I hope the observation wheel thing is open by then, that would be amazing
