Fearrington, anyone...???!!

Hi,

as you may know, I'm new here...and I'm trying to organise my wonderful NC wedding from Scotland..lol!!! My family is gonna help out, and view any possible venues etc...and I was wondering if anyone had any insight into weddings at Fearrington...they have GORGEOUS outdoor space, but am not sure of costs etc...

It's gonna be a relatively small affair (50-60 guests) and I'd LOVE a good ole NC BBQ for the wedding meal, with dancing too...

Anyone know of rough prices at Fearrington for that sort of thing...??

Any help would be REALLY appreciated... :-)

Thanks,

Vx

I looked into them when we were picking a venue. I do remember that it was beautiful there. The downsides for us was that it was too much money for what you get and they have several wedding locations on their property so there could be another wedding 100 feet from yours at any given moment. We wanted something more private. We didn't get their prices until we went there to tour the property. If I were you, I would just call (or have someone local call) and tell them your situation. They were very helpful and accommodating when I was there for the tour 2 years ago.

I have seen beautiful weddings there!! We looked into having our wedding there but it was a little pricy...but we have many more guests than you will :) They have lots of good information on their website and you can contact the wedding coordinator: http://www.fearrington.com/house/weddings.asp
    Hope that helps!

    Hi!
We looked into Fearrington too, but unfortunately our wedding would be too small and wouldnt meet thier minimum, which may be a problem for you too? Cafe Luna is a great space in Raleigh, but no bbq there. They are an intimate Italian restaurant downtown. Totally worth looking into!
Were doing Brier Creek Country Club for our wedding in 2 weeks!
Good Luck and Im sure you will find something great,

We just toured the Fearrington today and it is gorgeous. I would email Gilda for the booklet which puts the prices right on there. It's pricy, but everything is pretty much included. You don't have to rent tables, chairs, linens, etc. My friend had a small reception on the Garden Terrace in October and it was really lovely. There was another wedding going on at the Barn that we really didn't notice. They only do one ceremony at a time, so you actually don't need to worry about that, she said that they don't make you choose the ceremony site until the day before. As for food, you have to use their catering services, and they can do NC BBQ, but you could probably get it for cheaper elsewhere.
