Need advice! Please help! :)

We are planning our Vegas wedding on a limited budget.  We don't plan on having a reception, necessarily, but we would like to do something for all of our out-of-state guests.  We're getting married at 9pm, so a dinner afterwards is kind of out of the question.  We're stuck as far as what we should do... Lunch the day of?  Just walking around the strip & enjoying the atmosphere?  Any input is greatly appreciated!

Yes, how about lunch or brunch earlier in the day and then maybe you can have cake and cocktails after the ceremony?

You could have cocktails and hors d'oeuvres if you can, or just champagne and cake since it's so late at one of the bars with the nice view of the strip.

i would also suggest cake(or cupcakes) & cocktails. Look at Rhumbar inside Mirage and Mandarin Lounge I think it is it's inside Mandarin Hotel...they both have great views of the strip. Also you could look at an in-suite reception if you have guests under 21. You could have cake cocktails and maybe hors d'oruvres.  And you could even use the suite to sleep in that night so you don't have to pay more $$ for another hotel room.

What about setting up VIP after the ceremony at one of the clubs?

Are you actually inviting these people?  Like, sending invitations?  If you're formally inviting people, you need to provide some sort of hospitality, even just cake and punch.

If it's more "You can drop by the ceremony if you're in town," you don't really have the same obligation.

Thanks for the input... I'm going to look into the in-suite idea... I do have my little brother & sister coming who will only be 13 & 15 at the time of the wedding, so I do need to make it kid-friendly.  Wish me luck!
