Has anyone in KS gotten marrided with a friend that was ordained online?

Were you given any flack for doing so?

    We are planning on doing this with my future BIL.

    FI parents have (on numerous occasions)asked to have a family friend who is a youth pastor do it.

    Other then the few times they have asked us to change our minds, we are still set on having our BIL do it.

    My dad got ordained online. My FI and I are really excited because it means so much to us :)
    However, we have gotten lots of negative responses about it. We don't care though!

    My friend got married last May by a mutual friend who was ordained by the Dude online.  Everyone thought it was very funny when she said "by the power of the Dude I now pronounce you husband and wife".  I didn't hear a single person complain about it.
