Iowa-Quad Cities

Vendor Reviews

Hello Quad Cities! I was recently married June 5th and wanted to give a quick vendor list review, as this helped me when brides did this when I was planning our wedding.
Rehearsal Dinner Space - Short Hills Country Club, awesome. Lynn the coordinator was fabulous, the food and service were great and a wonderful view overlooking the course. You do not have to be a member to book here!
Reception Space - iWireless Center, fabulous. From step one planning with Jennifer to going through the food process with Deb it was extremely easy. Deb was on top of calling all of my other vendors about arrival and pick up times so I didn't have to and they really went above and beyond to make our wedding day special for us and our guests.
Photographer Best Days; Melanie Bishop - you may have met her with her previous company Media Innovations, now she has her own studio and is still just as marvelous. Melanie was really down to earth, not bossy, did not rush herself or our guests and really made our day special. I can't wait for the pictures. Even many of our guests commented on how wonderful she was!
Florist Milan Flower Shop; Dameon - he was fabulous. On time and everything was fresh and beautiful. I also had him decorate our cake with fresh pink flowers and decorate for the reherasal dinner and he did a wonderful job.
Cake Heller Cakes; Lauri - she was super easy to work with and the cake was beautiful and I have never had so many compliments on one thing! Our guests thought it was beautiful and we had hardly any left over and many guests after having one piece wanted another!
Dress Celebration Bridal; they were wonderful to work with. Were not pushy and let me come in anytime I wanted as I had bridesmaids and family in town to try the dress on.
Band Funktastic Five; Rockin' is the best way to describe them. Our goal was to have entertainment where everyone was dancing. And they were until the last song, which was awesome. Will the band leader even Dj'd and took requests during the breaks which was awesome!
Invitations; Watermark Corners - if you want beautiful invitations and top notch service and not have to do anything yourself. Go to Watermark. They have something to fit every budget and Barb and Amy made things so easy. The invitations set the tone of your wedding prior to the big event. Watermark also took care of our table numbers, menu cards, escort cards, programs and charity donation cards.
Tuxedo's - Ducky's Moline. Very easy and very smooth to work with. Plus great discounts; go to the bridal fairs and stop at their booth!

Overall we didn't have any major issues and planning was easy. Enjoy your big day and don't forget to breathe and smile!
The future Mrs. Darling

I have to agree with you on Watermark, Funktastic 5, Ducky's and Milan Flowers.  I am working with Watermark (and have before) and Amy is the best!  I can email her anything and she puts a beautiful touch on it.  Willie (or Whistles is his nickname) makes every event so fun...he's the best!  (sadly we're not going with him but I go see him play every once in a while...love them!)  We will be going with Ducky's and i've been in there twice so far and they are just amazing to work with.  Now if only I could get my fiance to go in there once.  I just had my consult with Milan Florist and Dameon def knows his stuff.

Thanks for the reviews, it makes me feel more comfortable when I go to finalize all of these details.  My wedding is in March 2011
