Newly engaged looking for a smaller affordable wedding venue

Hi,
I am recently engaged and looking to have a wedding for 50-75 people within a smaller budget in the Boston / Cape Cod area in late May / June or Sept / Oct.  Any ideas for venues that may be affordable?
Thanks,
Denise

you might try The Flying Bridge in Falmouth Cape Cod...if you have your wedding/reception on a holiday, such as memorial or labor day, they usually will not charge you for the venue.  its an awesome location!
  • also the falmouth yacht club...you can have a beach ceremony there ot the catholic chapel is walkind distance.
  • May is probably your best bet for lower rates.  The Overbrook house was nice.
    Anniversary
  • Also checkout the Bournedale function facility... lousy name but great spot..pondfront, easy access and you can rent the whole place for the weekend...
  • we're getting married in south yarmouth
    ceremony - sand surf motel
    receiption - skippys pier

Both are awesome and reasonably priced, Sandy owns them both. I'd recommend giving them a look, food was great and it's reasonably priced.
  • We got married at the Flying Bridge on Labor day... not only did we not have to pay the $2000 room rental fee, but ALL of our other vendors came in cheaper because it was a Monday wedding versus a highly popular Saturday/Sunday wedding. The FB is a little big for a 50-75 person guest list. The Falmouth Yacht club is a great spot too!
  • Check out Harbor Point in Cummiquid.  We got married there and loved it! :) afordable too
