Guest Transportation - Tours on MV

We are getting married on Martha's Vineyard and don't want our guest to have to worry about brining their cars over on the ferry. We have hired a local sightseeing company to transport our guests from the ceremony to the reception site which is only 1 mile away. Our ceremony starts at 2 and cocktails aren't scheduled to begin until 4 (the earliest we can get into the site). We were thinking about having the sightseeing company take our guests on a short 45 minute guided tour of Oak Bluffs and Edgartown after picking them up at the church in order to buy us a little time and perhaps give them a glimpse of the island. What do you think? Will our guests appreciate this or be annoyed by the delay?

If you go this route make sure you make bathroom stops and have refreshments on the tour bus. Definitely have beverages and maybe little gift bag with chips/pretzels/granola bars. Being forced to tour while thirsty/hungry/uncomfortable would make me cranky.

That being said, I think it is a really fun idea - especially for people who don't know the island. There is nothing like the sites on MV!
