Have you thought of a Knights of Columbus Hall, which I believe there is one down there, or a VFW Hall.  Even a Church Hall.  You don't have to use the church to use the hall.  Just some ideas.

we had the same problem and we are doing a pig roast also. check out the local union halls(UAW) we are renting one out 600 to rent along with a $400 dep.( that you get back ) the one we are renting is big enough for 150+ you do not have to be a member of a union but if you or family member are its alot cheaper.

The one thing to remember about having your own alcohol, is that you MUST have insurance in case someone gets in an accident, or you can be sued.

Do note that most Churches will not let you serve alcohol in their halls.

Have you thought about having an outside reception?  That would make it easier to bring in your own stuff.  A lot of parks have spaces to be rented for a day, or if you have friends with large enough property, that would work even better.

I recently went to a wedding reception in a renovated barn.  It was owned by a family friend, so it was easy to plan because there were no restrictions.  Find out if anybody in your friend & family circles has or knows anybody who has something like this that you can use :)

Celebration Banquets has a Wave Room that seats up to 250 and it's really affordable.... I think the room rental is only $900 and it includes tables chairs and linen as well as morning access- it's off of the east beltline.
