Recommendations for officiant near Shelby, MI 49455.

Getting marriage in August 2012.  Looking for affordable officiant - does anyone have recommendations on who to use that might still be available?  I'm hoping for an officiant that is closer to Shelby to keep the fee low because they wouldn't have to travel far.

    Most officiants I found were out of the GR or Lansing area, bigger cities I guess they want to be centrally located.  I interviewed two and the first one, Kenneth Kibby I highly DO NOT recommend, he called me saying he had to cancel our appointment at the last minute, that he would call me back to reschedule... and then totally forgot about me!

    So I ended up going with Keith Littlepage from Grandville, MI not sure how far that is from you, but here's his information: http://www.westmichiganweddingofficiant.com/

    You'll probably find if you do your own searching that all officiants are about the same flat fee + mileage.  And mileage isn't going to make or break the bank.

    My officiant is from St. Joseph, Michigan.  She is coming to Chicago to do my ceremony for $175 and only charging me $35 extra for travel to the city.  It wouldn't hurt to give her a call to see if she is still available. http:// <a rel="nofollow" href="http://www.anncruz.com">www.anncruz.com</a>
