Tri-Cities - Thumb - Reception Hall! Help!

Hi everyone!

My wedding is very far away - but I can't seem to find a great reception hall that fits my needs!

My fiance and I live in Fenton [Flint area], but most of our family lives up in the thumb. There is literally not a place in the thumb that can accomodate our 400 guests!

We've been looking at the Palazzo Grande in Shelby Twp, but we're not made entirely of money and were wondering if anyone had a great experience somewhere else in mid-michigan?

It's a December wedding, and I am worried about all of my guests driving so far - BUT I want to give them a night they'll never forget!

Any suggestions north-ish/east-ish of Lansing would be SO greatly appreciated!!

Very much in the thumb, in Ubly in fact, is Ubly Heights. It's a golf course and that's where we had my school proms every year. very big.

Hi! I just had my reception in Frankenmuth at Sullivan's Black Forest Brew Haus. They have a room upstairs (that we used) that will hold up to 350 if you can get in that range. The room is amazing, the staff was fantastic (they totally went above and beyond) and the prices were very, very good. We also got a lot of compliments on the food, which was important to us. They also had an incentive where you could get discounts. It's definitely worth checking out.
