Online Ordination in Michigan?

Does anyone have experience with this?  We live out of state and are going back to the FI's hometown to get married in August.  He would really like his childhood best friend officiate the ceremony.  I have seen a lot of conflicting info on google about whether MI accepts online ordination for weddings.

Has anyone recently done this?  Thanks!

I would call the county where you are getting married and speak to someone directly.  As they will be issuing the marriage license, they should be able to answer your questions.
  • Most counties in Michigan accept ULC (Universal Life Church) to get ordained online.  There are some online churches that are not accepted too such as (Church of Pagans).  I am ordained through ULC and I am able to perform weddings anywhere in Michigan.  Residents of Michigan can get married anywhere in Michigan that they want as long as they get their license from the county in which one of them reside.
