South Bend Area?

Hi everyone!
My name is Izzy and my fiancé is Jim.
We are planning an October 15th 2011 wedding.
I am looking for a place that we can do both the ceremony and the reception in one place. I haven't a clue where to look.
He is Jewish and I am Catholic so we decided to do mostly non denominational.
Jim is from Chicago and I am from South Bend.
Anywhere between here and there would be good.
Anybody know the ND football schedule for 2011?
Argh! Frustrated already :P
Anyones help would be much appreciated!!
Thank you!Smile

The Valpo area has lots of places you should look in that area!!  I would check the ND website for the football schedule...I'm sure it's posted!  GOOD LUCK!

I don't think the 2011 schedule will be available until next year.

Avalon Manor in Merrillville, IN has gazebos on site.
Aberdeen Manor in Valparaiso, IN has an outdoor area and a chapel for ceremonies, on site.
White Hawk Country Club in Crown Point, IN has a gazebo outside.
I think Centennial Park in Munster, IN has an outdoor area for a ceremony.
Sand Creek Country Club in Chesterton, IN has an outdoor area for a ceremony.

Notre Dame is at home playing Boston College that weekend.

I would maybe look into Heston Hills in LaPorte or Avalon Manor in Valpo.

Try Sand Creek Country club.  It is one of the nicest venues and it's 2 miles South of 94 in Chesterton.  I am a DJ and do many weddings there throughout the year.  They have a beautiful garden out back where many couples do their ceremony.  Find them at www.sandcreek.com.

I got married at the Scottish Rite in South Bend last December.  It works extremely well for having the reception and ceremony in one building. But, it will be tough to have a wedding during a ND home game weekend, in South Bend.   Hotel rooms will be booked and super-expensive.  Good luck!

People get married in South Bend every weekend, ND home game or not. We're having our wedding at the Landing. The smaller banquet room will be set up for the ceremony and the large banquet room will be for the reception of course. See pictures at
