Anyone planning a wedding at Laurel Hall? Need catering advice!

Hi,  I'm considering Laurel Hall as the venue for my wedding and reception.  I've received a quote from one of the caterings on the approved list, and they want to charge me $5000 just for rentals and service.  Is this normal?  I would like to know what others have experienced.  I would like to keep my catering at 6000 (including dinner and cocktail hour).  Is this possible?

I know that most of the caterers that service Laurel Hall tend to be priced a big higher, and $5,000 actually may be appropriate depending on what all is included with the rentals and service. (If they're providing things like chair covers, setup/teardown, flatware, napkins, etc. -- all of which comes with service charges -- $5k is about right.)

If you were to rent all those things separately and do the setups yourself, you may be able to reduce those kinds of costs, but it'll depend on what the venue really allows.
