D.J. Recommendations?

I'm looking for a cheese-free d.j. for my wedding in Bar Harbor.  Any recommendations out there?

There's a thread further down with DJ recommendations...you should check it out! I think the OP asked about western Maine, but many DJs travel all over the state.

We are using Dave Dionne...  He DJed a friend's wedding a few years ago, and she really liked him.
    Here is his website:

He will send you a free DVD so you can see what he is like if you contact him.

Not sure that my link worked or not. I just tried clicking it and it just took me back to the regular forum board. Did that happen for everyone else?

We are using DJ Greg Young from Northeast DJs. He has a lot of videos to check out right on his website and on youtube. He sent us this link when we asked about booking him: http://www.northeastdjs.com/dj-greg-young

There are a bunch of folks who have used Northeast DJs on this forum. All with good feedback. I'm looking forward to our reception with him! There's another thread from with a message from darling884, she got married on October 2nd - anxious to hear her vendor reviews!

In addition to Greg Young and Dave Dionne I have also seen people say good things about Tom Morrisette and Jeff Rockwell. You should meet with or call a couple of DJs and see who you like the most. Good luck with your decision!

We used Jeff Rockwell.  I booked him on his price alone.  I didn't even meet with him until a few weeks before the wedding, but loved him!
He put me more at ease in those last few days before my wedding than anyone else did.  He's great at reading the crowd.
I highly recommend him.  He's based out of Portland, but like most vendors, he does travel.

I'm using "Trust the Entertainer." Jon Scott is his name.

High Tech Entertainment, hands down!! The best DJ I've ever seen, he did my wedding, as well as friends and family and he was amazing!
