Hello. So after much talk and deliberation, my fiance and I have decided to set our date for Monday Sept 3, 2012, which is Labor day. My family will have to travel from California to New York for the wedding. Is it awful of us to ask people to give up their 3 day weekend and travel when the rates for flights and hotels are higher? We figured it would be good if people wanted to come out on a Friday or Saturday and sight see in NYC for the weekend, then attend our wedding on Monday. But then they will be required to take Tuesday off for a travel day.
We already booked our dream location and doing it Monday saved us some money. I just don't want to piss anyone off.
