well, its definately not my wedding day next.I still have 11 months

Drama, there is always something unfortunately. One thing is i haven't finished picking my bridal party. I'm so torn. I have 2 neices 1 10 yrs and the other 20 (4 yrs younger than me). The 10 yr old  will be a jr bridesmaid and i wanted the oldest to be a BM. Only thing is she has a terrible atitude and has irritated the crap out of me to the point where i dont wanna be bothered with her. I love her but she's rude, cocky, and disrespectful. before thhis weekend, I hadn't seen her in 6 months  ( I live aross the country) but she was a total "bish" lol, to me. Now i don't really want her in the wedding. The problem is her mom, my big sis, and her little sister are in the wedding. And I already know that theres gonna be an issue with me asking 1 and not the other. I havent told my mom or sis yet cuz im just not in the mood for the drama. huuuhhh! Its always something.

My wedding day is coming up next. There isn't any drama as of right now. Hopefully, there won't be any for the next 17 days.

...oooh @mswac...I have no sisters or nieces...but I would have to tell mom (sis) and if she didn't understand...I wouldn't have anyone...period!  There is nothing that would make me deal with (controllable) drama on 'my' day!!! JMO

@twinkles...lemme tell ya a lil story Sealed...I was in my bff's wedding...22 years ago...yes, 22.  The morning of the wedding the bridal car was stolen (fortunately all the groomsmen went and got it back...shhhhhh), my gown was ripped in half (horizontally-it was taffeta-pastor's wife was a seamstress) and when we got to the venue...they had no food for the wedding and another wedding was overbooked in our slot (bridal party threatened to call the media)...***but we had a great time and the bride and groom never knew!!! (real friends handled this stuff behind their back)

@cynthia...as long as your contracts and the main stuff you want is in tact...let people do what they want...don't stress about people and 'their' stuff.  If 10 people don't show up...get 'someone' to eat the extra plates so they won't go to waste.  My FI and I are going to give our leftover food to a Minister we know, who goes out and feeds the homeless in the middle of the night.

Mine is three months out.  My FI is supposed to be working on booking the photography and DJ (he has friends who do this stuff), but he's having a hard time getting ahold of them.  So I'm not going to lie, I'm a little nervous.  I told him that we need to get on this ASAP since his friends aren't responding, but he's all like "trust me I got this"....grrr.  It's just that it's already getting down to the wire and I don't want to have to scramble and play cleanup crew because I don't think he realizes this is not like scheduling pizza delivery...you have to do this stuff way in advance and we're already crazy behind.

twinkles...good luck to you :-).  I see that you and I are in the same local.  Where are you guys having your nuptials?  I hope that the rain and flood waters stay away for your wedding day!  Will be sending Knottie vibes your way.

I'm 2 months (and 3 days) away, and everything seems to be going smoothly.  The venue has new owners, so there is also a new chef and coordinator.  I have my own WP, so the coordinator issue doesn't faze me, but the chef part does.  I go in for a re-tasting in 2 weeks, to ensure that the new chef performs as well as the last chef. If he doesn't, than I'll work with him until he gets it right (I'm also a chef).

Other than that, we are set - Dress, tux, marriage license, officiant - that's really all we need, everything else is just extra... flowers, music, invites (dropped yesterday!), photographer, videographer, rehearsal dinner, menu, escort cards (puzzle pieces), favors, table names (episodes from a fav TV show), linens and, transportation.  The only thing left is to make a reservation for the dog at the kennel, script the programs and put my vows on 1 piece of paper (I have them scribbled on various notes over the course of time).

So either I'm in good shape, or I've lulled myself into a false sense of security!  Either way, we should be all set one way or another!

@Needles- Wow! That sounds like a nightmare but at least it all was resolved without having to get the bride and groom involved.
@Marina- Thanks! =] Good luck to you as well!  I'm actually in the Dayton area but we're getting married in a small town near Greenville, OH.

Even though, we're all stressing over our weddings, I just know that they'll all be awesome and one of the greatest days of our lives! :) Congrats, all!!

thanks!  but that's not what I'm worried about.  Our venue works on head count only and they need the final number 10 days before so I'm pretty sure no food will go to waste.  That's a great thing what you and FI are doing!

What I'm not looking forward to is running after RSVPs....I hate calling people on a general basis so I'm hoping everyone will send them in to spare me from it.

@mswac - I'm sorry to hear about that.  It is tough!!  I don't envy you!

I don't have drama, but more excitement!  We're going to Chicago this weekend with my parents to shop on Devon St (the Indian neighborhood) to get my parents clothes for the Indian wedding.  Then we're having dinner with 2 groomsmen (and their families), my friend from high school who is making our cake (and her husband), my parents and us.  I can't wait!  Definitely worlds colliding, but everyone is happy to meet each other.
