Teacher Theme Wedding Invitations

My fiancé and I are both high school history teachers. We are doing a teacher theme wedding but are having a hard time finding invitations which arent geared toward elementary school. Any help would've appreciated. Thanks!

You're probably having trouble finding wedding invitations in a high schol theme because that's quite a strange theme for a wedding.  What colours are you using?  I'd probably just stick to invitations in your colour palette and then throw in a few "teacher" touches here and there - like the favours or the cake topper.

Themes are great when there are small aspects sprinkled here and there. A yearbook style guestbook would be adorable. PP had some cute ideas. As a guest, though, I start rolling my eyes pretty fast when it starts feeling like a kid's birthday party.

I was watching an episode of 4 weddings once where the bride was a kindergarten teacher. . . . they had a really cute poster type thing showing what all the students thought love was.  I have also seen where the escort cards looked like little report cards.

Martha Stewart featured a teacher theme wedding a few years ago.  You can probably find it by searching her site.

We actually saw the Martha Stewart wedding but it was elementary school based since the couple had met in the 4th grade. We met as student teachers which is why it's important to us to really have that come through in our wedding. We are not going overboard - green apple in the centerpiece, and we are having the reception in an old Victorian house. Any ideas of what the invitation could look like then?

Wedding Paper Divas has some collections with backgrounds that look like chalkboards or graph/lined/index paper. Not too over the top. Just go to their website and search school or teacher.
