Invitation Prices??

Is around $600 a lot of money for 150 pocket invitations. This would include the invitation itself, the rsvp cards, an rsvp envelope, another card enclosure, the envelopes for the invitation and labels that match the invitation for me to use for the return address for sending out the actual invitations.

Well, are you willing to pay that?

Personally, I think for good quality, that's a fair price. However, I only need about 55 invitations and I'm not doing pocketfolds, so I haven't priced them out.

I spent $180 on materials for 75 invitations, plus escort cards, menus, and programs for 125 guests.  I'm printing at home, though.  To me, that's a high price, but possibly not to others.

You've got PLENTY of time, though.  Keep researching.

That seems like a lot. But if you're willing to pay it, go for it. You could make some probably for cheaper.

I DIYed our pocketfolds.  We had an RSVP postcard and 2 other inserts in metalic pockets with a color mat under the white printed card, and they came out to about $3 each.  At $600 for 150, you're at about $4/each.  That sounds like a pretty good price to me.  When I was shopping, I couldn't find any for less than $6/each completely printed and assembled.

If that's in your budget, go ahead.  If you need to save, you're probably going to have to DIY or do something else.  If you're interested in DIY, go to cardsandpockets.com to price supplies.

I think for pockets this is good--$4.00 per invite is very reasonable, especially if you aren't doing much DIY! Where did you find them?

If you are still researching....I found an Etsy seller who you may want to check out. Her general price is $3.75, but she was having a sale when I found her which definitely helped decrease costs.  Since you have some time, she may end up doing another sale. The price  includes a pocket with 3-4 enclosures, including an RSVP postcard, return and guest address labels and envelopes.  I have more info in my bio if you are interested.  I got my samples, and they are awesome.

    Good luck!

Deborah... I found them on magnetstreet.com. They also have the mini magnet save the dates that I want. I just ordered samples to check the quality but they seem like everything I want design wise and everything. Being that I have a little over a year though, I am still researching, so I am def going to check out your bio for the extra info. Thanks for the heads up!

MyNameIsNot... I'll def be looking into that site as well. I have some great bridesmaids who are willing to help in any way that they can so that might be a good way to go. My MOH got married last year and we helped her put hers together... it actually turned into a long yet fun and silly night.

I think that for pocketfolds, $4 a piece isn't that bad. I wouldn't pay that much for them, but that's just me. I'm on a tight budget and $4 a pop invites would not have worked. If you're comfortable with that price, and don't want to DIY, then go ahead. However, a year early, please do not order invites. You never know what might happen, and then they're worthless.
