How long before the wedding should one send out save the dates?  We went this weekend to get our engagement photos done!  So excited to see how they came out:)

    Everywhere I read was 6 to 12 months before... We did 8 months but we have quite a few from out of state...

    Send them 6-8 months before.  I think 12 months makes you look anxious.

    Six to eight months as PP's said. The only other way I'd send it out earlier, as I am, is beacuse ours is four days before Christmas.
